Emily Bornoff is an Illustrator, Book Designer and Textile Designer. She studied illustration at degree level, and continued to a Masters Degree to study Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. She loves to try out new ways of creating interesting colour palettes in her work, as well as mark making and pattern. Emily creates all of her work either by painting her subject matter or using various forms of printmaking , and then combines everything digitally at the very end. Taking inspiration from her travels, world around her, mid-Century Illustration and Textiles, amongst other wondrous things.
Her first picture book was printed by Big Picture Press in 2015, 'Where did they Go?' A book that looks at endangered species around the world, and provokes children to think about them, whilst trying to spot them throughout the book. Emily has since worked on many projects with publishers such as Quarto, Pan Macmillan and Little Bee books.
Emily has also been an inhouse and freelance book designer for many wonderful publishing houses, such as Usborne, Random House, Pan Macmillan, Farshore, Bonnier, Anderson, and Bloomsbury.
